Moulin Rouge can await another time; I opted instead for an intimate cabaret experience through AirBnB. Sylvain Phillipe (Silvano Jo) and his accordionist/pianist ran us through a host of standards highlighting Josephine Baker, Edith Piaf, Michel Legrand, and others, with a lovely spread of party food. It was a delight.

Tangent warning. I have a thing against AirBnB because of how they drive affordable housing out of reach, yet we still use their service. There is no ethical consumption under capitalism. Comme ci, comme ça.
